Yep, -AND ALSO-, this pretty much sums up why a strong, and ideally minimal, state is needed to keep the market in check - otherwise the goals for society as a whole will be (is?) completely set by the monetary interests of the strongest corporations. And they are -very- likely to value income over health, knowledge, freedom and democracy.
